Can #TXIDSky explain if viral, bacterial, fungal prophylaxis really work? I’ve seen providers give all three for almost all blood cancer chemo.

thanks for tweeting, agree with your analysis- there are clearly certain areas that these cell free DNA test do very well including cx negative endocarditis. I think we're still working out full utility in other situations, including in transplant patients #TxIDSky , including optimal timing.

Severe pulmonary nocardiosis in a solid organ transplant, eradication therapy. 6 months in but would like to go for another 6 months.
Bactrim, doxy are not appropriate and now running into trouble with linezolid.
Has anyone used azith or cefixime? Other ideas?
