Such a nice initiative: You can either buy this Mac photos app ($14) or donate $20+ to any of a number of good causes, and get the app for free. Let's hope this inspires other indy devs as well.

Attached: 1 image Settings.app had a red badge this morning - I assumed it was for a software update. Nope. It was an advertisement asking me to add my 2+ year old, out of warranty Beats headphones to AppleCare One. I also have the option to choose AppleCare+ instead. But is that even allowed for out of warranty products? And lol they got the pricing wrong. $1.49/year vs $1.49/month vs $14.99/year.

Arrest Made in Atmore Police Department Shooting Investigation
Atmore, AL - The Atmore Police Department announced today the arrest of one individual in connection with the early morning shooting incident that occurred on June 24, 2025. According to authorities, Tyler Hall, a 22-year-old resident of Evergreen, Alabama, has been taken into custody and faces charges of Murder (1 count) and Attempted Murder (1 count). The Atmore Police Department presumes additional arrests will be made in the coming days as the investigation continues.
