Council authorized a sole-source expenditure of $124,132 to replace the ozone chiller at Lake Palestine Water Treatment Plant, a component city staff said is critical to protect the on-site ozone generator used to treat taste-and-odor compounds.

The council authorized the city manager to ratify a $222,496.90 emergency expenditure to Zone Industries for repairs to rapid mix basin mixers and isolation gates at the Lake Palestine Water Treatment Plant; staff said the repairs will restore full treatment capacity and will be funded from the water utilities operating fund.
