On the River Tamar earlier today, reveals state of the #RoyalNavy. HM Ships #Portland and #Somerset already alongside and we were joined by HMS #Sutherland coming in from sea. HMS #Richmond was covered in scaffolding in the basin and another Type23 frigate being worked on inside.

The article is rather sniffly about the RN response compared to the French Navy.
It ignores reality. The French Navy main naval base is Toulon, in the Med.
The RNs type23 frigates are ASW, and not best placed for air defence.
Similarly, Anson's Tomahawk missiles are strike weapons, not defensive.

獺祭BLUE
ニューヨークで作った獺祭。ブランド名の由来が「青は藍より出でて藍よりも青し」なところもいい。基本的に現地でしか買えないけど、日本に数量限定で入荷してたのでType50、23どちらも予約。50はアメリカで最初に作ったものだそうで、少し黄みがかっている。まろやかで甘みがあって飲みやすい。対して23は味がはっきりしていていい意味でクセのある尖った風味がした。肉とかチーズとかしっかりした味の食事にも負けないんじゃないだろうか。で、このお酒を使ったパレドオールのチョコレート。滑らかで甘味を塩が引き立てていておいしい。金箔のついたミルクの方が個人的には好み。疲れてるのかな…。
