We are saddened to learn of the passing of Barbara Flynn Currie, a pioneering Illinois leader and the first woman to serve as House Majority Leader.

Barbara's late husband, David Currie (d. 2007), was a longtime #UChicagoLaw professor.

Her legacy of public service endures.
