Private healthcare being evil just not limited to the US… do you know in the UK when they fuck up an operation and intensive care is needed they call an ambulance to get the patient sent to an NHS hospital because having an ICU on site isn’t profitable

A huge part of the impetus for Dorley as a story is the history of centralised healthcare apparatus in the UK coming for every provider of private/independent trans care and shutting them down by any means necessary, shunting patients towards an NHS system designed to keep them from transition.

I have seen similar results from UK private testing. Patients understandably expect tests they see heavily advertised to be accurate and meaningful. Often they aren't

I'll point out a hypocrisy no one is talking about.

Private Doctors in the UK are being paid 20-30% more for doing the same job as NHS doctors

The NHS is sending more and more patients every year to these Private Doctors and there are company profits on top as well

This is a reminder, that now, under Labour and @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social - 20% of NHS funding (from us the tax payer) - gets rediverted to the private sector.

In return they see 10% of patients (the simplest cases no less).

This is not a good business model.
