if Amazon France can ship to the UK (iirc they do but it might depend on the seller) you could use a service like UKPostbox, make an account/forwarding address and use that. They'll ask you for a business name/address but you can put whatever (I have an account there)

Is the 8month delivery time because you're trying to get it shipped to the U.S? I have an Amazon France account so I can check what it says if I try to put a French address.

(UKPostBox can deliver to France iirc, a friend of mine uses it there)

I’ve bought from Amazon France directly in the past with no problems, but there could be more hurdles now that America…[sigh]…is what it is. And the 8 month delivery timeframe has me skeptical to buy from them.

But I’ll look into UKPostbox. Or try to find a French equivalent.

I use UKpostbox! You can choose a PO box address from several different cities (I have mine in London) and then you only pay if items get returned to you and you need them forwarded back to your home address
