A pity UKRI and STFC don’t want to pay for it.

One thing that boggles my mind today: LHCb delivers a crucial result that unlocks a whole new subatomic world, and UKRI - the body that actively chose to cut our funding - puts us top of their front page as though they are proud of our work. Make your minds up guys!

Research costs a lot more than the money provided in most (all?) UKRI grants...
I'm here to tell you that this should be more than a suggestion, it should be a cast iron requirement. The quality of research project management is, shall we say, highly variable.

Lovely of @ukri.org to put the @lhcb.bsky.social measurement top of their news page. www.ukri.org/news/scienti.... It's a pity UKRI has chosen to withdraw funding for the much needed upgrade to the experiment that would let UK scientists explore this new frontier.

It was a pleasure to welcome two groups from the UKRI Infrastructure Advisory Committee yesterday.

The visit offered a valuable opportunity to showcase the unique science taking place at Diamond and share our plans for the Diamond-II upgrade, including the development of new flagship beamlines.

@ukri.org has recently published its new research data policy. The policy applies to all funding applications submitted to UKRI from April 2027.
At that time, the UKRI policy supersedes MRC Data Sharing Policy. Find out more 👇. #Research #researchdatapolicy
We have published our new research data policy today.

This UKRI-wide policy updates and harmonises our expectations for responsibly managing and sharing research data so it is findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR) and as open as possible, and as closed as necessary.
