Good morning, folks - I wanted to share some info courtesy of afal that may be useful for friends in the UK, particularly those who are trans.

Attached are screens of a thread from trans safety with some info about how your data is handled by your GIC. Hope it helps <3
For this withdrawal of consent to be effective you will have to send this to any GIC you have ever seen or been on the waiting list for. This includes if you no longer see them. Detailed private health of 9000 trans ppl will be handed over in a psudonymised format to the following researchers. One of these researchers, Tilly Langton, we have already previously identified as having promoted the controversial "Gender Exploratory Therapy" approach. The affected Gender Identity Clinics for this study are: The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, Gender Identity Clinic, London (formerly Charing Cross) Leeds Gender Identity Clinic, Leeds Northampton Gender Identity Clinic, Daventry Northern Region Gender Dysphoria Service, Newcastle The Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health Porterbrook Clinic Gender Identity Service, Sheffield The Laurels Gender Identity Clinic, Exeter If you are a GIC patient under 30 in the UK and are concerned about the way your data may be being handled after hasty interventions by the government, please consider contacting your GIC by email or letter and stating that your personal data is not to be released without consent. Gender Exploratory Therapy has been widely condemned for its similarities to previous forms of Conversion Therapy.
