Nowt makes any sense anymore. There's BBC stuff on ITV, ITV stuff and BBC stuff on Channel 4, and UKTV stuff on BBC being passed off as new programming.

So Channel 4 itself has live continuity in primetime, so they would at least be able to get that bit right. (I don't know about their graphics situation these days!)
UKTV did use to have some live continuity, but that has long gone. So they would probably struggle on with generic annos.

That's a marvellously professional job from all involved. Presumably nowadays, with many channels relying on pre-recorded continuity (not all, obvs) there would just be a generic announcement and caption card? Or would, say, UKTV use live continuity around any special live broadcasts?

I don’t know, but I wouldn’t necessarily take it for granted that any of the UKTV channels actually have the ability to air live content at all. Some channels are not built for it when the assumption is that they’ll always be airing recorded content at all times. But as I say, don’t know for sure.
