I one had a weird conversation with a USAF lieutenant colonel w/a PhD in psych. He was a USAF PSYOPer, which is not considered Special Ops. Anyhow he proceeded to explain that he wrote his dissertation on the psychology of language & realized computer scientists were the real linguists. 1/
We spent a decade plus saying coding was the single most important skill you could have. Coders went from an overinflated sense of importance to being most easily replaced by a machine. I think that says a lot about how tech bro brains are fried in ways the rest of us don't experience.
