Uniquely among US Attorneys, the USATTY for DC prosecutes what we would generally consider "street crime", because he operates as the local prosecutor. Having someone in that position who thinks like this is incredibly dangerous for all of us who live in DC.

Why would Currie's statement that the EDVA gets to pick the next USAtty be cause for appeal? It's literally the law, and while not specifically requested, is the only legal path forward.
