Nice to see Kiko Porto have success. Another talented kid who ran out of funding and never got a real shot in IndyNXT. Finished 2nd behind Myles Rowe in USFPro 2000.

The next USFPro Championships event is the NOLA stand alone weekend. It’s free to attend if you’re in the area.

Beswick won the 2024 Australian Formula Ford champion while driving for Synergy, and now team and driver join the USFPro Championships ladder.

DeFabis, who ran a part-time USF2000 season with JHDD in 2024 and won one race, will race at the season opener in St. Petersburg, with other events to be confirmed.

He said the USF Juniors scholarship technically only works for USF2000 but they worked out a deal that let him use some of it to fund USFPro. No champion stickers or anything though.

Exactly. When I was first watching racing, Star Mazda was where USFPro is in the unorganized ladder. Hinch, Graham, and Marco were in the championship. They were hour long races and they had great broadcasts and I learned so much about what racing open wheel cars is about.

It’s kind of setup that way through the scholarships. He won the USF2000 championship and then the USFPro 2000 championship so I guess that was enough for the exemption. If he had won IndyNXT he would’ve gotten an IndyCar scholarship and not been old enough to compete at St Pete.
