If, you have any interest in what MCRD San Diego looked like in the mid-1920s, or need to see the main guns, and secondary batteries of a battleship of that era firing, or are a fan of Lon Chaney, this movie is available on YouTube and Prime.

Recommended.

Going back over General Lejeune’s autobiography, I found this, and thought it an interesting mention.

This inspection tour was in 1920, right after Lejeune was appointed Major General Commandant of the Marine Corps.

It's just about the only time Lejeune mentioned "Pete" Ellis in his book.

The lieutenant in charge of the Washington Marines was 35-year old Israel Green, who is an interesting case.

Born in Plattsburgh, raised in Wisconsin, married a Virginia gal.

In 1861, left the USMC to help create the CSMC, where he served as Adjutant & Inspector.

Weird.
