IMHO they should have been rotating hard after the USOC. Getting fit and returning to form is/was more important than playoff positioning and staying in the top 4.
I would have rested one of Timo, Polvara, and Mac in each of the first three matches after Columbus.

We talk about the era of #DCU from 2008 to 2017 as a dark era for DC. 2010 and 2013 were historically bad. Objectively it was light years ahead of where we are now. 4 playoff apps, an ECF, two USOC titles, 5 CCL/CCC appearances vs. just 2 playoff appearances to go along with 2 WS.

Nashville was presumably like “well, we got pretty lucky to win the USOC final, so the next time we get a trophy, we’ll make sure we deserve it” and then yeah, they fuckin did. Good lord.
FT: Insanity! Nashville SC win. They clinch an unbeaten season at home, set the record for most home wins in a single season, tie the single-season points record, and a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting. That was insane. Off to cover Shield celebratiosn.
