I don't have a lot of extremely strong positive feelings about anyone just yet, but I'm kinda leaning towards a Savu winner just off this premiere. The important players on Taku this vote were Devin & Jelly (both repeatedly wrong), Brady (...I don't see it.), & Patt & Jenna, who despite putting the vote flip into motion (even if Maggod said it first, hello game changers shortlist) didn't feel like they got too much credit for it? It became such a Brady vs Devin result but neither of those guys looked particularly good for it either. Mike & Kilby at least got some establishment but it just doesn't feel substantial yet. --- Kristin got a lot of personal establishment with some game, Sharonda got a lot of game establishment with some personal. I wish Kristin would've gotten /anything/ after the negotiation, but even still it was a very solid positive marooning for her. Jenna was the best ratio of quality for quantity from Taku imo. Pantless Patt is a solid identifier to give to someone who wound up subtlely important for the vote, not sure how to take her leaking to Aaliyah at tribal but she diiid get her way with saving Jenna handily... these four are on my radar. Mike was lowkey but I appreciated his job establishing scene using Kilby to directly contrast & highlight himself. Ana got very little game (though /is/ in Rob's trio (quadrio?? Carter's audio cut after three names for a confessional but visibly had four fingers... maybe I'm paranoid but unless we learn more about that I'm side-eyeing that alliance's odds...)) but a LOT of fun personal content, 2nd confessional of the season, directly commented on the perma uncertainty thing... one to watch. Ori was also just subtely very positive throughout, and though the helicopter alliance isn't off to a good start they were /soooo/ highlighted that I could see a rebound & some longevity for the lot of them. Jelly similarly is still highish just for helicopter stocks, and that despite everything going directly against her way she was never really thwacked in any way by the edit or other players for it. Not a good /winner/ premiere imo but I can see distance for her. Rob had a lot of strategic establishment & winners do love a rivalry... BUT.... he didn't get a confessional until like a third of the way through the episode? One of only three to not get Anything until after tribes had formed, w/ Maggie and Cristian. Feels like a smokescreen as a result, buuut other than that I can't exactly knock him too far down. Kilby & Lewis sharing a decent enough MOR4. Lewis being in the dead middle of my ranks for being on exile seems fun though, sure. I also appreciate Kilby getting to directly acknowledge being in the middle of Taku even if we didn't get much /about/ that from him. Carter.... could arguably be MOR2. his 2nd confessional establishing his trio("") on Savu was pretty great, but there's just not a lot else to draw from here that tells me who Carter /is/ besides Rob's #2, & I have more faith in Sharonda/Kristin/Ori over there anyways. Brady Devin Eric all got pretty huge showings but all seem primed to get slashed at some point. Maggod Christor was at least the first person to ACTUALLY bring up Aaliyah's name https://i.imgur.com/hvc5NbO.gif , Linnea got to mention her job which is cute but was 100% tell dont show about being social. Established nothing external. Thien An.... Devin's ender. Alexis..... was there. Cristian...... could bring Eric to HR.

Last week Tyler Bradley Dykes of Bluffton, SC, pleaded guilty to burning to intimidate at the UTR torch march in 2017. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison, with 6 months active sentence and 4.5 years suspended.

He got 1 soft compliment during the key challenge, and while he got praise for providing, it was immediately undermined in the very next sentence explaining providing doesn't mean shit in Modern Survivor :nerd: like... ouuu... and he just kept getting whacked for picking the advantage, for pushing too hard for Cirie, etc. - Dee I'm going UTRP for, the tone was light, and I know it's sacrilegious but depending on how her future content contextualizes this premiere for her I might make it mixed, but I think with just hoooow much spv she got from everyone about being a strong threatening winner, that distinction deserves to be reflected /somehow/ in the chart compared to the other UTR2s. - Savannah I almost made mor and/or n lol, Gen I waffled about tone on but I do think M is right (connivery & Aubry, vs Kyle & personal connections), Jenna could be M or N, I think the borneo content was meant to be sympathetic and commendable, but also lmfao.... I love her so much. I might change this later depending on how I want to commemorate her two hours of wonder. Miss her already.

BBUS1 was...fine? Maybe I'm blind but I figured the whole Genevievisceration was less N and more just 'oh Kishan is targeting me, I have to flip this.'. Unless there was more cockiness but, like, idk. UTRP overall for now but I might change it to MORP instead. In previous episodes I'm not sure what/if anything diverges too much. Sue in E3 I think got mild N for not even giving Kyle a chance, and Rachel in E2 I'm really not sure what she amounts to be OTT I guess feels the least wrong...? I think I have a pretty clear top 5 of Sam Teeny Sierra Sue Andy, with Gabe, Genevieve, and Anika clinging to life. New era does typically mean the merge'll likely sift the cream of the crop and kill (& maybe even revive) like half of these people, but for right now that's where I stand. Sorting out the exact order of this top 5 was tough but, like, I guess I'm happy w this? Dunno. Sam and Teeny are definitely pretty strong pre-40 winner contenders, Sierra is a bit more lowkey but could inherit stuff from Sam perhaps? Sue is a bit less CP than I'd like but she's definitely far more grounded than Andy, who, while far more complex than 3 otts might imply, is definitely still a bit too wildcard-y for me to feel suuuper confident in just yet. By now I think Emily had reached CP status, but she'd also swapped by now, so... I dunno. If that swap is happening then that should maybe clear things up for him & the rest of the world even. #Survivor 50 edgic thread, similarly have not had any time for this this week, pumped every part of this out just in the past 2 hours. This was kind of a non-episode that feels low-priority for factoring contenders, but the Mike White egg on my face has me noticeably reordering things anyways.
Survivor 50 episode 4 edgic ratings CHARLIE OTT2 CIRIE UTR1 DEE OTTP3 JONATHAN UTR1 KAMILLA UTR2 RICK UTR1 RIZO MOR2 AUBRY MORN3 CHRISSY UTR2 COACH MOR3 COLBY UTR2 GENEVIEVE CP3 JOE UTR2 TIFFANY UTR1 ANGELINA MOR3 CHRISTIAN CPP5 EMILY CPN4 OZZY CPP4 STEPHENIE MOR3 MIKE CP5 [CP overall] Survivor 50 contenders chart, my ordered prediction of most to least likely to win: CHRISTIAN GENEVIEVE OZZY COACH STEPHENIE CIRIE EMILY JONATHAN RICK AUBRY RIZO COLBY DEE JOE CHARLIE ANGELINA CHRISSY TIFFANY KAMILLA Keeping Christian at 1 for the same reasons, yet another outstanding main character episode. It's overbearing, it's Christian Hubicki, it's season 50, and he just 3-2-1'd Real Life Celebrity Mike White who he had a pregame relationship off of the show. It's just hard to argue against. Genevieve I'm keeping a lot more confidently in my top 2 now, I think this past episode tipped the Aubrevieve rivalry scales back in her favour, Aubry came off looking particularly stank this episode (<333 more of this please?). Finding the final BEBIdol right under her nose was also a fantastic way to one-up her, and her hiding it and handing it to Rizo were both well explained and look... pretty good. My One fear is if Rizo uses his perception shifting storyline to dupe Genevieve before she can dupe him... and though both Rizo and Aubry have gotten pretty unsupported edits thus far, that's now two potential people who's stories could singlehandedly revolve around annihilating this poor woman. She has so much great winner material, but the warning signs are undeniable. Actually bumping Ozzy up to third, despite him not getting his way for two tribals in a row now. I legitimately think there's merit to the Oscar thing, and though he's separated from her now, should he reunite with Cirie I really think a rebound is certain. He also at the very least hasn't been dunked on for being swayed into & now outright left out of the non-Angelina plans, I really appreciate his cpp here. His story threads with Cirie, Coach, and now Emily and Christian all feel active and unfinished, though I do worry about his chances at this next tribal. Coach getting such a huge jump here might be a misplay, but a combination of re-evaluating my contender metrics and getting the most focus from the Zac Brown "Biggest Reward in History" feel... notable. It's the road to 50, it's his importance on two otherwise pretty dead tribes, it's his lack of an utr... I dunno. Still not sure if it's /winner/, but it's important character, and when a lot of my top contenders are also the ones with big warning signs, having someone up here I feel confident is gonna stick around is a nice balance. Stephenie I'm keeping in my top 5, I think this episode was a little too lowkey for her, but what I said last week about her being my pick for a non-over the top winner still stands. I like that she got to immediately directly comment on the Q boot, and though she didn't get any active motion this episode, her thread of things changing on a dime feels like a good sign. Cirie 6th for similar reasons to Stephenie, though I think she's in a slightly worse position, and comparing her non-tribal content in 3 & 4 to Steph's in 1 & 2, I think Mx. LaGrossa edges her out just slightly. Also, it's Cirie. A good edit came free with her xbox. Emily's this high for having such a distinct story that honestly does feel very defended by the edit all things considered, she could Easily be ottm/n both episodes without changing hardly anything, but she isn't. She gets to explain herself clearly and has that social reassurance coming from the likes of Angelina et al. However, Emily's this low for her distinct story being so Bad At Everything lmfao? Queen. She could easily go tonight, but I really hope she doesn't. Jonathan falls this far mostly due to my reassessment of things. His old Kalo content is still great, but double UTR on NuCila which is pretty stagnant aside from Charizo is... ehhh. No progress on sniping Cirie thus far either. Rick has not spoken since the swap :) His pre-swap was pretty Luigi-ful but definitely held its own, but without Christian he has faded into the winds of Fiji to juggle in these halls for all eternity.

I'm giving it to Joe Rizo Chrissy though at the very least to separate them from Rick/Aubry/Tiff etc who were unquestionably not there though. Ozzy I'm in the air about, but if I'm already pushing it to get the others up there, I feel like he doesn't hit the mark. Cirie would also be an easy CP if not for the OTTP overshadowing it I feel, but god the way she ran shit this episode... I'm really starting to give & believe. Not sure if I want to stick with OTTM or N for Coach's overall... going with M simply for the on paper ratings rn but it definitely does lean negative. Survivor 50 episode 8 contenders chart, from most to least likely to win RIZO CIRIE CHRISTIAN OZZY JONATHAN RICK AUBRY EMILY STEPHENIE JOE TIFFANY Cannot believe I'm putting Rizo at #1 but like lmfao let's run it? Being the perception-changing superfan is very likely his new era trait i.e. wart/toe/rice/lion-lamb/etc, and it's been working out for him perfectly. Every time someone tries to look at him as the shifty s49 newbie, they either change their minds (Colby, Cirie) or they get canned for it (Charlie, Chrissy). He's also had pretty direct involvement or downright credit given to him for every tribal he's attended, both with the two prior mentioned boots, Dee letting his idol slip got back to him and left her without a lifeline, and both on and off the jury there are so many players with a direct social link to Rizo now. Dee and Coach both clearly loved him, he's got Cirie and Ozzy both as allies and friends, Rick's like his tribal big brother... like idk, as a player he's given so much agency and credit, and as a personality he's earned so much social credit, it's... kind of crazy. This is how Rizo can still become a Legend Of This Game:tm: Cirie is soooo so close at 2 because wow what a coronation, but I feel like her edit does just lack some of the specific outlined pieces that Rizo's has. She's Cirie, and she's amazing, and she's running the show Again, and she got up off the couch, but like who is she /CONNECTED/ to outside of the three? Who has she triumphed over? ..Jenna? She got about as much credit for Jenna's boot as Aubry did Genevieve. Something about G/Jens.... Idk. Obviously though there's so much going in her favour which is why she's made my top 2, but there's just something still lacking that makes it a bit too tough of a sell to put her in my top spot........ yet. Get back to me after firemaking. Christian is falling off, his closest allies in Emily/Rick hardly exist when not in his direct line of sight, he feels kind of disjointed in this merge, and though I'm certain he'll get a big episode next week thanks to Rick's fake idol, it just feels like things are falling flat? Especially recently, winners have tended to only pick up steam at merge, and while sure that wouldn't've been sustainable for a 4-5-5-5-5-4 constant-tribal-attendee, utr2-utr2 with no real updates despite being in everybody's radar as a supposed "middle player"... it's just odd. He's not being protected from anything, he's still voting right, but he's just suddenly lost his momentum while the trio continue to soar. Ozzy at 4 just because he's the weakest member of the trio. He's got a few red flags still about his growth and his bad calls without Cirie around, plus whatever the hell was going on during that swap. But, he's still in the trio, we still do hear from him consistently, and he does have solid threads, again with his growth & Cirie, and getting to directly close the chapter on Coach this episode. I don't think he has enough to win off of, but, like, the trio's going far, they're running it, they're fun, I'm happy. If anyone else wins I'll be floored. Jonathan is the strategic figurehead and final boss of the magantagonist alliance, he's likely making it to the penultimate episode at least, but I don't see him winning. Too often he's on the wrong side of things, and he hasn't succeeded in any of his own defined win conditions, especially in targeting both Cirie and Rizo ouu.... Rick at 6 for also being pretty relevant, but he's just so MOR and agency-less that it's hard to see coming true. Aubry at 7 just kind of lol by default? She's truly so out of her depth and realistically is a goat if anything, but consistent focus is enough sometimes heyyy. Emily at 8 for at least running her mouth <3, Steph continues to flounder after last week's potential heel-turn, and both of her confessionals tonight re: members of her alliance and who needs to go get undone throughout the rest of the episode. Joe and Tiff are a duo now :)
