When I ask myself what I should do, I can quickly become overwhelmed. The need is enormous, and it is easy to get lost.

But when I ask who I am called to be, I can focus on how I show up to other people, grounded in my values.

Sometimes We DO get it right! In 2021–2022, UUSJ joined a broad coalition, including the Poor People’s Campaign to force negotiations that, ultimately, enabled passage of the Inflation Reduction Act. This was not a partisan issue for UUSJ. It was about solidarity with impacted communities and the moral imperative to protect those most harmed by environmental injustice. These are lessons we continue to live out in our actions...
