This is the best they can do even with the petro monarchies juicing demand too by investing in Uberlyft and similar services that push people to drive to supplement their incomes.

Yeah, San Francisco, Portland, and LA all had 20-30% declines in cycling despite building infra in 2014-2019 bc of mode shifting to UberLyft. The infra was worth it just to improve cyclist safety and eventually as the bike networks expanded and as UberLyft stopped subsidizing rides, numbers went up.
* TNCs (and Waymo) are a significant cause of congestion. At best, they replace car trips. But they also strip ridership from transit, and were correlated with a reduction in biking downtown in the 2010s. TNCs were responsible for 50% of all new congestion hours in SF in the 2010s (SFCTA).

Any work I've ever done hasn't been adequately compensated. I'm from New Orleans. The economy here is supported by tourism. So when I was a server, bartender, UberLyft, etc I never made enough. We hold up this entire fucking city&are treated like second class citizens.
