When the Uprising broke out he was assigned to a medical point at Elektoralna Street but we have no other information.

Coming back to Maria, she was a very interesting woman. During the First World War she was a nurse at the Warsaw-Vienna Railway Station and then in 1918 she worked on a medical train. In 1919 she began working in the Health Department of the General Staff and then in Ujazdowski Hospital.

A fascinating relic of a bygone age - a public scale, where you could go and weigh yourself, apart from on Saturdays, for some reason. In Ujazdowski Park, Warsaw. It says it’s from 1912. Unfortunately closed now.

A wonderful mature Oak in Ujazdowski Park, Warsaw, for #ThickTrunkTuesday. It’s so enormous that some of its branches need to be supported and it’s fenced off. The sign warns visitors to the park that standing underneath it runs the risk of their getting a heavy branch on their head!
