Ulster Shield: Pegasus 2 Ulster University Elks 2
It was dull, grey, overcast and cold for the lunchtime push back in Denman Shield tie between Pegasus and Ulster Elks at The Dub, on Saturday. Floodlights lifted the scene but couldn’t take away from the raw cold. Pegasus set about business from push back, trapping Elks in their half and testing their keeper. A stubborn Elks defence held out in a scoreless 1st quarter.
