I notice they're all wearing shoes that look a lot like today's shoes. Shouldn't those be more high-tech? Won't they have hovershoes in the future? Or spray-on clothing instead of fabric?

During the UltraTech playtest, I worked out the energy density of GURPS energy cells by TL. Then-current 2002 laptop batteries had better energy density in w/kg than TL10 energy cells of the same mass.
This was a problem, as the current real world TL was TL 8.
