like a lot of fixed focus cameras, the Y16 seems to struggle at longer distances, it's much sharper in the sort of 10m range

yes this is very last minute and i am slightly treading on folder week's toes, but i was too excited about this idea to let it die
thinking the bulk of this will be for wandering around on halloween night with flash

this is a kodak instamatic x-15. instamatic/126 is the predecessor of 110, having the same cartridge form and mostly the same cheap, easy to use cameras, but with a larger, 24x24 square exposure. unlike 110 there is nobody selling 126 today

i intend to do some threads about different formats and cameras from my collection in the next few days so please look out for those
in 2026 there are basically 4 sources of film for 110 cameras
lomography, reflx lab, bulk 16mm cinema film, cutting your own

Primo Jr. with 6cm f/2.8 Topcor
127 Shanghai GP3 100
Xtol 1+1 equivalent Bellini Ecofilm for 7:30
Ironically the cleanest image on the roll was the least planned. This was a last minute shot just trying to finish the roll. #believeinfilm #filmphotography #undeadformatweek

however with that said people are of course very welcome to post favourite old stuff taken with dead formats/dead format cameras

May need to retest the shutter speeds on the Primo JR. - a lot of the negatives like this were a liiitle too overexposed for my liking.

i made a feed for Undead Format Week, (hopefully) it captures posts with #deadformat and #undeadformatweek as well as some format specific tags such as #110film and #127film (hashtags dont like numbers)

only died for 2 years, from 2009 to 2011, the least dead eligible format, 110 is a cartridge film exposing a very small 13x17mm negative, and still in production today. this is my 110-typical form factor camera, the minolta autopak 470, next to a cartridge by konica

so real 110 film comes with frames pre-exposed onto the film strip. if you've ever noticed that on your negatives the image continues faintly outside the border, that's why

good info is sparse so please add your own!
to try shooting 110 with a decent camera, i think you'd do a lot worse than the minoltas. the autopak 470 was their high-end subminiature model and has a surprisingly sharp lens but can be got extremely cheap
