Meet the Unhinged! Four charming, in no way problematic men that YOU can fall in love with 😇

Last year I got hired by @ringedwater.bsky.social to work on the character sprites for this game and now it finally has a page! ringedwater.itch.io

"sooooooooooooooo...
wanna go get ramen?"

Everyone meet Valdas! 🐾

#UnhingedVN #visualnovel
Artwork of a man slouching in a white tee with a red flannel shirt over the top. He is pale and has a lot of freckles, with dark eyes and a long braid of hair colored in purple to blue. He's probably going to try and eat your ramen.

It's time for "fun" facts no one asked for!

-Zyr is indifferent to motorcycles
-Valdas has no clue who his parents are
-Angel hates almost all music
-Kai got kicked out of a Brazilian steakhouse for eating too much

Are you letting them in your house? y/n

#visualnovel #UnhingedVN
Artwork of two men, one in black with red accent motorcycle gear, short blue-black hair, and pale blue eyes and the other in red plaid over a white shirt with blue pants, and a purple-blue braid, hands in his pocket. They stand in front of a front door. There is a mottled blue border. They would like to come into your home. They are unlikely to leave.

It would be truly unhinged if I made the entire game in comic sans, wouldn't it

Kai escaped spritejail to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!
(Sorry, he refused to free the other boys on his way out so you'll have to wait to see them)

#UnhingedVN #visualnovel
A man with blue-black messy hair and piercings, pale blue eyes, and a black with red accents motorcycle jacket. He is smirking at you, as per usual. Three red hearts hover around him, and there's a black mottled background and red/pink circles forming a border.

Fun Fact: these characters were created and fleshed out 99% through the use of memes and shitposts

You have been warned ⛳

(today i learned what mastering was; the process of making this game has been such a cool learning experience)

My friend Kay did this artwork of Valdas and his beloved corndogs. You will take him to the state fair, right? 🥺

(Kay doesn't have a Bsky, but has been hugely instrumental in bringing these dudes to life. Honestly, I probably wouldn't be doing this project if not for them 💜)

Welp we broke 30k words and I'm not done with Angel's route yet (and haven't touched Zyr's)

Good progress on Angel's route and I think I'm on track to finish the writing for it tomorrow in honor of his more-or-less birthday!

Obligatory 'Meet the Boys' post!

#UnhingedVN
Angel - Over it. Over you. But not over you. Also, stuck with you forever. God help us all if the beer runs out. Valdas - Feral next door neighbor. Occasionally tamable. Probably not capable of full domestication. Hope you keep a lot of ramen on hand. Kaiden - Tall, dark, handsome, and problematic. Perpetual wild child who has seen some shit. Moves fast, lives fast, loves a fight. Not picky on who it's with. Zyr - A totally normal human. Not unusual at all. Also your boss. Your very pretty boss.

Shiny new account, woo! I'll be posting updates on the game's developments, my thoughts as I go about making it, and all that good stuff here.
For now, have the silly infographic I made that kind of sums it up.
