When Carl Montante started his first construction project, he had no idea it would eventually lead to the real estate empire we know today as Uniland Development Co.

Let's see whether Uniland Development (Montantes family) or Delaware North (Jeremy Jacobs family) are for the LIGHT SIDE or for the DARK SIDE.

A Growing Movement Is Working to Evict ICE From Its Buffalo Command Center
A glimmering 12-story building towers over the intersection where Delaware Avenue meets Chippewa Street in downtown Buffalo. The building is owned by Uniland Development, a major Buffalo real estate developer. Surrounded by coffee shops, luxury hotels, and boutique restaurants, the building’s facade is emblazoned with the corporate logo of its anchor tenant, Delaware North, one of the world’s largest concessions corporations, headquartered in Buffalo. But amid the daily humdrum at 250 Delaware Avenue — paper shuffling inside, cars honking outside — is, to many Buffalonians, something more shocking: The building’s seventh floor serves as the operational hub of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) machinery of detention and deportation across much of New York State, and it is a “hold room” site used to detain immigrant neighbors, including children. For years, ICE’s Buffalo field office has lived inside the Delaware North Building. Now, an escalating campaign, Evict ICE from 250 Delaware, is determined to pressure the building’s corporate owners — Uniland Development, owned by the Montantes, a prominent Buffalo area family — and its flagship renter — the Delaware North corporation, owned by the billionaire Jacobs family — to cut ties with ICE when its current lease expires on March...

If you live anywhere in NY state (but especially if you live in the Buffalo area), I hope you'll add your name to this petition that is part of a larger campaign to evict ICE from the Buffalo building in which they plan and carry out all abductions in NY state outside of NYC.

Saturday’s demonstration began around 5:30 p.m., according to a timeline provided to BTPM by organizers. Protesters later occupied the intersection of Delaware Avenue and West Chippewa Street, where they remained as Buffalo Police officers arrived.

Uniland receives local taxpayer subsidies for 250 Delaware that were granted on the promise of benefiting our community. Funding ICE operations does NOT benefit our community and that we do not want to fund ICE locally.

"The goal is 10,000 signatures by October 10, and anyone in the state of New York can sign the petition. ICE is paying Uniland $2 million per year to rent their office, in a building that also contains a luxury hotel, to plan and oversee their violent, racist tactics of kidnapping and deportation. +
