The AI we are being pushed to use is an unholy messiah.

Unsacred beginnings, and very profane results are coming our way.
And it owes its existence to lies, theft, and *massive* consent violations. What kind of awareness emerges from that rotten a beginning?

Wendell wrote often about the falseness of the dualities we create - how all things are part of the whole - no unsacred places.

Once again, I blame D&D - Faerun is a world that somehow manages to have dozens of gods who literally physically interact with the denizens through actual magical means and STILL feels hollow and unsacred. I don't know how they managed it, I've been playing games in Faerun for literal decades.
“My book is a gritty, realistic medieval dark fantasy where religion plays an insignificant to nonexistent role in the lives of the characters and the culture they inhabit.” -idk practically everyone I guess
Clerics in general feel kinda underrepresented in broader fantasy media. Usually you just get a single kind of wizard-coded magic user who absorbs the cleric role.

I’ve been sitting on this news for a minute, but I wrote a book! It’s called “We’ve Been Here The Whole Time!” and it’s a very unsacred humor / satire book about all things Native America. From me, @andrewsmcmeel.bsky.social and illustrator Julie Fiveash. Buy it when it comes out in October!

Grief and Tragedy (despite tragedy being tragedy) is something rather funny. Death is banal, unsacred, ignoble, in The Vampire chronicles. Once you see past the suffering in these characters and then juxtapose it with how stupid everyone is, tragedy is married to comedy.

Breathe with unconditional breath
the unconditioned air.
Shun electric wire.
Communicate slowly. Live
a three-dimensioned life;
stay away from screens.
Stay away from anything
that obscures the place it is in.
There are no unsacred places;
there are only sacred places
and desecrated places.

This is ancient but I'm still proud of it. Perhaps too obviously influenced by Mission of Burma, Pixies, Fugazi, and maybe subtly Interpol while referencing Clerks plus it was a split 7" with NYC's best rock n roll band, the Unsacred Hearts. maningray.bandcamp.com/album/man-in...
