I spent my elementary school years in Gainesville while my dad attended UofF. It’s also where, as a grad student & TA, he began dating his younger students. UofF certainly didn’t care, so I’m not surprised they have a track record of defending folks they shouldn’t. :(

What struck me most was his ability/money to immediately travel to states with the best cancer care, & get into trials for new drugs so quickly. Diagnosed in Oct, went to his "executive doc at UofF". Full body scan in Dec.

1. university vision statements are what Presidents/admin. (*leaders*) are responsible for creating (often & ideally in consultation w/faculty governance),
2. UofF has plenty of ppl already to do this
3. per Forbes recent list, UofF ranked quite high.

As a life UofF alumna and proud Gator, and a scientist and educator, I have refused to support the university since Sasse was selected as president. Nothing DeSantis does surprises me in his quest to destroy education at all levels in Florida.
