I suspect that no other industry in Alberta would get away with not paying their property taxes
I also saw a story last week where an O&G company hadn't paid it's lease in years

The UCP won't force oil and gas companies to pay the outstanding taxes owed to municipalities, but they sure as hell will force people who are unable to work to pay $200 to qualify for an insulting $200/month "benefit" that the UCP wants to claw back.
