Our house is covered in dozens of #harlequin #ladybirds. I think they like the yellow paint. You can clearly see the identifying “M” on the pronotum.

Took a little walk in Four Mile Run park this morning while waiting for a Girl Scout meeting. We saw a large fox sprinting through a field, two Great Blue herons flying over the trees (and then honking), and a HUGE hawk sitting high in a tree screaming at the mockingbirds and blue jays. #urbannature

This crow would crack open nuts by dropping them onto the edge of the sidewalk. Much like a mechanical engineer, it conducted stress tests, calculated trajectories, and selected a point of impact—all with astonishing intelligence.
