#UseCase
That’s the best usecase for one 😋

Wie heeft er inhoudelijke experts nodig als je het met procesmanagers afkan? Flinke laag tjakkaficering eroverheen en klaar is je usecase.

What about the standalone option? My actual usecase for it that I'm looking for is standalone so I can like use it on long-haul flights.

the NeoGeo AES isn't really comparable to a modern console like a PS5, as they serve an entirely different usecase. A NeoGeo in its day would be like getting a dual-RTX 5090 setup running SteamOS today, not buying a PS5. It was uncompromised, insane commercial-tier hardware for premium prices.

Notice how the rate of descent is correlated with broad usecase?

Electricity is the lynchpin of modern society
Lithium Batteries are in many devices but not all
Computers are a subset of devices again, some containing LiBats

DNA sequencing is 90% Science-use only

AND THEN THERE'S AI
WITH VALUEN'T
bros are breathlessly posting this but it’s probably the single largest flag of a simultaneously overhyped and rapidly maturing technology. like, a “race to the bottom” doesn’t happen with bleeding edge technologies rofl

i don't think it makes sense to ask the person yelling in your mentions who does Labor to download a fuckin harness and magic up a usecase to have context for what it means that the president is snorting grok now.

hmmm. firm disagree. distrust is good. you don't need lies to get there though. if a person believes "it doesn't work at all" that gives some distrust, but not the kind that makes them think "what if the state uses this to dox my activist friends", which, can confirm, is a viable usecase

finally a usecase where the ai piss filter is actually appropriate

'I want high end local AI because uhh privacy and token prices!' -> weak excuse, likely doesn't fit an optimal usecase in practice.
'I want to train and run custom stacks and research to make the tensor girlfriend happy' -> you immediately can tell she/it's a freak /aff

sometimes i wonder how people get such weird bugs but then i remember that my usecase is just really basic 😭

The “usecase” for stablecoins is clear: no need to wire funds into and out of an exchange when you want to buy a cryptocurrency.

The reality is that you don’t need a cryptocurrency pegged 1-1 to the dollar through volatile assets to accomplish this.

Ive wanted to be a low level coder my whole life until i realized i actually kind of hate doing code in general. Nothing really stuck

Also the vast majority of code ever was always boilerplate stuff. I'm not particularly pro-AI but this is straight up THE usecase aside from data sorting

One more shitty, useless 'usecase' for even more "AI" scamming.

FCK "AI"!

also tru; mostly i just like saying out loud that

- posting gets you Consumed
- programmers are egoic monsters

but the real usecase for art is materializing emotion. to be fair, 80+% of devart also fails at this
September 30, 2026 at 8:50 PM
My usecase is to bedrot playing games in 4k :)
September 30, 2026 at 8:01 PM
err, i should specify usecase: this is for sentiment checks
September 30, 2026 at 7:57 PM
it’s incredible they spend more outrage on the LLM when really it should be pointed at comma.ai, which sells a device that bangs out commands to drive cars over an interface not really designed for that usecase
September 30, 2026 at 1:38 AM
the LG OLEDs are good, but i still have no idea what the usecase for ultrawide is
September 29, 2026 at 9:06 PM
yeah yeah GC better than Arc on throughput but what about tail latency??? :P

~~not that i care about that for my usecase whoops~~
September 29, 2026 at 6:43 PM
agreed, good usecase for @unthread.at
September 28, 2026 at 3:40 PM
Then again, it all depends on your usecase obvs. If performance isn't an issue, choose an interface you're comfortable with, same with whether or not the solution scales ((no point building a DS that can handle 30k elements if you'll never reach those numbers))

Ein perfekter Usecase für KI. 🤭
September 28, 2026 at 6:54 AM
Like i just don't get it. I have yet to see an actual usecase of A.I. that seems like it would be helpful for normal people.

Instead i see dumb shit like Muse or tech bros talking about how their agents are building so many cool things
