It’s lined with millions of light-sensitive cells known as rods and cones. Rods help us see in dim light. It also gives us peripheral vision. Cones help us see colour, detail, and depth in bright light.” An anatomy of an eye highlights the retina and icons of a rod and cone. Text “Retinitis pigmentosa (RP), a symptom of Usher syndrome, is an eye-condition where these rod and cone cells slowly die.
