This. USNA 81 grad. We were specifically taught about My Lai as THE example of NOT following illegal orders. Thank you, @willbunch.bsky.social for point this out.
The mother of a USNA midshipman was detained by ICE AT HER GREEN CARD INTERVIEW and is now being held in a concentration camp and I find it insane that people don’t understand how THAT is a bigger national security threat than any undocumented immigrant.

My mind still thinks I’m a 25-yr old USMC 2ndLt fresh from USNA; my 56-yr old fireman knees & lungs would like a word after 23 yrs of urban firefighting. Shout out to E59 & E1/L5 along the race course for giving me a little extra boost when I needed it!
