Very far in the future. The Valars seem to have abandoned Middle Earth to its fate. Huge cities have grown everywhere. Technologic progress never cease to grow. Money and power are at the center of everything. The Elves which ancestors never went do Valinor have slowly lost their immortality….

just that iluvatar wouldn’t allow it seems pretty final, and it’s the valars reluctance that was the issue so I feel like if you take away their free will he def gets over thrown early before the elves even awaken
