They keep on coming - my 7th local patch Yellow-browed Warbler of the autumn, ringed at a restricted access site in Rutland this morning; alongside a better than expected catch of 50 new birds including 26 Chiffchaffs, 5 Blackcaps and 3 Redwings @leicesterllama.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social

I didn't expect much when I arrived at Eyebrook Res this afternoon and heard shooting in the fields nearby. But I stuck it out and was rewarded with 2 site year ticks: 8 Golden Plovers flying over and this close Garganey at the inflow. #UKBirding #VC55Birds
