VGen's Secret Santa gift for TinyDiscordia🎁
It was my first time drawing a mermaid or a character in a bright environment. It was a lot of fun and I'm really happy with how it turned out! This makes me want to draw more mermaids!

Finally, the shading, I tried to focus on the same sort of techniques I also used for Charmi's since I was doing these simultaneously
for this one I kept the background simple, since I had just finished YokaiTober and really liked the paper texture

The base colours were a little more awkward as my only reference for this character was already rendered, but I hope I did manage to get the colours right
I stopped tagging raxy since I don't believe she is active on X, but she did receive it privately

Next up is the line art, tried to keep to the idea I heard a long time ago by an artist on YouTube shorts (@/marikyuunVT
), thick lines on the outside thin lines on the inside, wasn't sure if it would work with my style but thought I would try
