I found the Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) radio telescope on St. Croix! I have been wanting to see all of these sites since I saw the VLA in Socorro, New Mexico in 2002 and the VLBA telescope on Mauna Kea, Hawaii in 2008.

In 2018, the VLBA telescope "spotted" Voyager 1 (or at least the faint radio signal from its transmitter). At that time , Voyager was already outside of our solar system and beyond the heliosphere. Resolution needed? 1/10,000 the width of a penny as seen from 4 km away. #NRAO 🔭#astronomy 🧪
