A year ago, UK indie bookshops held events to raise money for the PEN Emergency Fund to support writers at risk who are in and from Palestine. #Valentines4Palestine

Thanks to your help, we raised over £15k – but we still need your support. Donate here ⤵️

Last year we marked #Valentines4Palestine in store, in solidarity with bookstores across the UK. Palestinian writers still need support: donate via the gfm, share this post, read their books.

Hey! Feeling very aware 💞 I'm a queer non-binary writer & editor, and my most recent extremely non-binary thing is this poetry chapbook (two writers, no names on the poems, some are about an enby person, raising funds for #Valentines4Palestine):

This is my first in-person reading for aaaaaaages & im extremely excitedly nervous to follow the energy of legends Ariana Reines and Nikita Gill.😳😳😳 I bring new poems! Closeted gay uncle drag! Wick-related rituals! Zines for #Valentines4Palestine!

Please support this fundraiser for Palestinian writers - all funds raised go to the PEN Emergency Fund to provide support to writers at risk who are in or from Palestine

I've been finishing a book this year, so haven't done a lot of other writing but THIS CHAPBOOK I'm wildly proud of. Sarah & I have already raised a few hundred quid for #Valentines4Palestine, why not get some poetry & help a writer at risk? Now with added ❤️‍🔥 from the genius that is CAConrad!

Would you share this one? It's from last year but still going & raising funds for #Valentines4Palestine... www.somayer.net/2024/07/24/w...

Calling all aspiring literary translators!

Polly Barton, an established author and Japanese to English translator, is auctioning off a mentoring session (feedback or general chat) to raise funds for Palestine.

A great opportunity to talk with an industry pro *and* support an important cause.

One action I'd advocate is learning to riso print! Hit up a @burleyfisher.bsky.social riso workshop, or bring in your pamphlet/poster/broadsheet design. Making THE GOD FILE: YENTLING (& raising over £300 for #Valentines4Palestine) def was my top 2024 thing.

#Valentines4Palestine: bookshops support Palestinian writers for #ValentinesDay

For every £1,000 collected, the PEN Emergency Fund will be able to provide an emergency grant to a Palestinian writer at risk.
