#vanbuild update: electrical almost done. Just need to secure the battery and hook it up. That's the most harrowing bit. Everything works great now because there's no electricity running through it. The actual plugging-in is RACKING. MY. NERVES.

Roof first, then walls. The 24hr cure time on the glue kinda slows things down, but I can do some preliminary work on the solar while it's curing.

#vanbuild update: Finished the first of my furniture, a simple set of drawers-slash-bedside cubby.

It'll be mounted against a wall and the cubby will be full of stuff, so I didn't bother veneering them. As I was reviewing it earlier today, I realized it reminded me of something.

Interior insulation is primarily foam board with 3M thinsulate crammed into nooks & crannies Mounting four solar panels on curved fiberglass almost broke me, but I got it done

Walls are in. Grasscloth wallpaper was super spendy so I went with canvas dropcloth for a fraction the cost. Contact cementing was a harrowing task but I managed! Layered some sheet metal for magnet-mounting photos. Carpet also in.

Next: upper shelf cabinets.
