Okay I'm gonna cop to that one stumping me. I think it's the viking compass/vegvísir? and I kinda associate all of that business with white supremacists as a reflex, but given the context I'm assuming that's an incorrect assumption?

It's also crypto-fascist. It's got plausible deniability - a vegvisir does not carry the same open white nationalist connotation of a sonnenrad. But "Norse Roots" is...not subtle.

I deleted my earlier posts because I realized that it sounded like I was accusing you of being a nazi. I don't think you did it maliciously, but even if the Vegvísir is harmless and the intentions were neutral, I still don't want to use it unless you're willing to make a version without it.

Advice Needed: Thinking of modifying my tattoo
So, I got this tattoo 5 months ago. I wanted a Vegvisir surrounded by runes. Since in was my first tattoo, I let my tattoo artist choose the design. He did this model, without the circles, but I keep seeing that Vegvisir is usually depicted with those circles when it's surrounded by runes, plus I feel like I like that design better as well. Is it possible to add the circles to my tattoo (like I edited in the second picture, sorry for my sloppy lines)? And if so, should I do it? A few, yes. Most prominent is the vegvisir, an Icelandic magical symbol (or "stave") featured in a manuscript from the 1860s. (In my fantasy story, it's much older, though.)
