That's something that's been bothering me about popular expositions of string theory as "we can get all the different kinds of particles as vibrational states" for a while now. The zero modes are much less intuitive than that.

I've never really believed in taking meds but have since healed all of my conditions and no longer take (or ingest) the chemicals the doctor prescribed. They are not good for us & keep us low vibrational.
