Second monitor is all up and running, but whomever is responsible for 4070ti videocards having one HDMI output and THREE DISPLAYPORT OUTPUTS can go jump in a series of predator-infested lakes.

I wonder how often people are using their videocards for 10 years. Something like 960 gt in a year 2025

He is going to funnel that money into their own pockets. Into some scam AI dev crap or something.

Cost actually like ten videocards in his mothers basement. Not almost a trillion dollors

It seems that the new RTX 5090 is preparing us for a future where there’s not just a robot war, but also melted cables and connectors reaching 150°C.

hundreds of billions spent on videocards which are each just tens of thousands of 2ghz processors zipping away to train 40+ gigs of 16bit floating point values to be slightly better at predicting the next token in a series of tokens that very obviously won't ever be capable of simply spelling a word

note: this isn't a monitor issue, nor a hardware issue as these issues have persisted across two videocards, but they're both nvidia and they've persisted since the update I installed to get monster hunter wilds to work last year

One thing VRC and SL do have in common are people who don't understand how rendering and optimization work and say the craziest things. Today someone in a #VRChat reddit insisted to me that CPUs can render infinite polygons with no limits, only videocards struggle with too many polygons.

yeah it's an everything store and they were selling videocards and switch 2s at msrp when everyone else was gouging

Using a Videocard as a Computer Enclosure
In the olden days of the 1990s and early 2000s, PCs were big and videocards were small-ish add-in boards that blended in with other ISA, PCI and AGP cards. These …read more

Flatpak and snap say hi, we will make you hate ubuntu

(I use ubuntu on my desktops. It's fine as an ssh target. Trying to make it work on videocards/displays made after like 2017 is... not great.)

I wish that's how modern videocards looked

📰 **Why Some S3 Videocards Have a Brightness Issue**

Once a pioneer in videocards, S3’s legacy is today mostly found in details like texture compression as well as the strong presence of S3-branded videocards in the retro-computing world. There’s […]

I never really understood what the appeal was for nft's to begin with.

I mean...unless you were in the business of selling mass-generated slop, videocards, running a clearinghouse for these jpegs, you pretty much just were the one getting shafted.

Like if I decompress 300 640x480 GIF frames on an old PC it could have take 10 seconds with the original code, which is too long to do at the start. Anyway I optimised it so it's a lot faster but want to decompress each frame then show each frame. Some videocards are slow to send images to VRAM.
