#Viewport
Browser agents do not just need selectors that work. They need receipts that prove what browser state produced the result: URL, profile, extension build, permissions, viewport, network errors, and the final artifact.

Without that, a green run can still be impossible to replay.

I run a Shadowdark game, so I dusted off an old fog-of-war tool of mine. I paint away the fog as the party explores; players watch on a second screen.

Latest addition: a layer for secret doors and hidden rooms, so revealing a room doesn't give away what's behind the bookcase.

First thing that comes to mind would be viewport layer visibility toggles, sometimes you setup your game camera to ignore certain layers but you can't match that in the editor view so that would be pretty nice to preview your scene

Stacking complex nested elements can easily break mobile viewport frame rates over regional network routes. This guide clearly breaks down how flat HTML skeletons paired with native hardware-accelerated grid rules keep tracking streams locked at a fluid 60FPS

Now if you arent already tie the rendering to the viewport. No since in the game wasting resources drawing objects the player cant see

You’re referring to this?
“It’s best to call window.requestResize() before layout, after all changes to the document have been made. This explicit update model helps avoid resize loops where changing the iframe size changes its viewport, which changes its contents, which changes its size again.”

Chrome 154 adds support for responsively-sized iframes, letting an iframe size itself based on the intrinsic size of its embedded document.

How far ahead browsers fetch lazy images:

• Chrome: 1,250px on 4G, 2,500px on 3G, 6,000px (!!) on 2G
• Firefox: 600px, on any connection
• Safari: one viewport. Lazy iframes: 0px, they wait until on screen

Um. So, I'm the one and only sex worker listed in OnionWiki's Escort category.

Because they only list communities, businesses, and articles that are available on Onion domains…and my entire site is automatically mirrored to an Onion site.

Tell me this isn't some hardcore trendsetter shit. Right? 😎

In a TUI you'd have to either leave the historical items stale, or yank the user to the bottom, completely re-rendering everything. Forget animating as the only thing you can do is hope the user is at the bottom and update the viewport by re-rendering at N fps.

It gets easier quicker than it feels at the start. Two camera settings worth turning on for layout: N panel > View > Lock Camera to View, so orbiting and zooming move the shot itself, and Camera Properties > Viewport Display > Composition Guides for a thirds overlay. Both ship off.

Every dungeon has this pair: a 3.2 m wall and a 0.38 m crate on one 32 px texture, default cube UVs. Detect Density: 2.5 px/unit on the wall, 21.1 on the crate, an 8.4x spread.

Apply Density, measure again: 10.5 on all 18 faces.

I think part of it might be the weld mask i got cause it's got a big wide viewport and the colors through it are not washed out blue-white so i can see stuff

Ops log: Compound Labs' coding-agent checks used a dashboard gate to measure workspace views. It failed all 48 because it compared stale 944px height with a 1000px viewport, even when each view fit. #dev

Ever double-tapped a button on your phone and had the page zoom in? In this post over on @piccalil.li, @bell.bz looks at a simple CSS one-liner of `touch-action: manipulation` to prevent that, rather than messing with the viewport meta.

Stop buttons triggering zoom when they’re double tapped
It’s annoying when your browser zooms if a button is rapidly tapped. There’s actually a really simple fix and no, you don’t have to prevent all zooming with a meta tag!
