The week ending July 26, 1969, intergalactic radio host Vik Venus, Alias: Your Main Moon Man earned US #OneHitWonder honors when his novelty ‘break-in’ hit “Moonflight” entered the US #Billboard #Top40 at #40. The single spent 3 weeks on the chart, peaking at #38. #VikVenus #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

The gimmick paid off, "Moonflight" gave Jack Spector his only #Top40 hit… He followed up with another lunar novelty, “Moon Jack,” but never charted again. Vik Venus was a brief, weird snapshot of late-'60s pop culture/Space Age mania. #JackSpector #VikVenus #OneHitWondered #MusicSky
