Pakase (Pakane)
Severe cold, frost, Pakasetaat, lit. ‘old man frost’, is a local variant of Jack Frost. Likewise, Kalevipoja’s (and putting a genitive onto a genitive must look strange to an Estonian) father has been known to be called Kalev-taattaat, see Vilisuu. Part of a bad-weather group.
