The search for ever more specific identity terms is basically the same as those "personal aesthetic" wikis where people make up terms like "daydreampunk" or "villaincore"
The reason people go back to historical aesthetics is because they emerged organically rather than as attempts to fit into increasingly specific patterns of consumption in order to constitute yourself as a subject under capitalism. Nobody in 20 years is going to be doing a "cottagecore" revival
