My flapper style headband, and one of the fundamental parts of my choker tower that I wear this is the bottom tier where the black beads brush just slightly over the black and silver collar I wear under it. It’s sort of connects the neck to the body allowing movement, but still offering decoration and cover.

An accessory I often wear that u probably won’t see in lots of other places is jewelry belts. There are a couple reasons I wear them. I will talk about the reasons in a separate post. But chief among those is they are pretty! They are interesting! They make noise when I move! (And as anyone who hangs out with me IRL knows, I am often decorated with many bells n chimes!)

My Dancing Girl theme of #VintageNini💍 jewelry is made of metal arrangements that make audible noise n catch light. So, generally, bells, n coins. Coins jangling from the ears, jangling bells around ankles n wrists, n a replica Afghan coin necklace. Coin jewelry is generally heavier. #VintageNini

Today is a big #jewelry repair day. I’ve been busy with a dozen other things n bit by a bit stuff is falling apart. That’s always the case when u wear as much jewelry as I do. It’s very satisfying to fix these pieces. #VintageNini💛💍✨

Aside from daily tasks like cleaning n job search, yesterday was dedicated toward repairing #jewelry. The energetic sense that settles on me when my jewelry starts breaking without repair for 2 long is one of entropy. It’s unpleasing. U can’t fix all breaks, but I did some good work. ☺️ #VintageNini💍
The Armor of God chest piece on the left needed three jump rings, n the very intricate n long earrings on the right needed 2. Replacing jump rings is one of the most common repairs on jewelry like this. I worked on another one which I will finish off this morning just for closure. That was the most extensive repair, being a really large area mesh of moving metal pieces that goes around the neck and on the chest. I had to do more than jump rings on that one. But I will share it later. Sometimes u don’t have parts on hand to replace jewelry the exact way it broke. This earring had a blue stone where I replaced with purple. But as I am a fan of mixing n matching n asymmetry, this gorgeous little piece is right at home.
