Being able to use virtualdj to control changes in my visuals has been pretty neat, it's more setup than I'm used to but I feel like in the end the result is well worth it :>

So it appears that VirtualDJ now sucks for beatgrid detection for trance songs, its been fine with techno, but anything with a weird intro completely throws it off now. I don't remember it being this bad. I just redid the set I wanted to in Rekordbox and it sounds like I wanted it to. AAAAAA

So it appears that VirtualDJ now sucks for beatgrid detection for trance songs, its been fine with techno, but anything with a weird intro completely throws it off now. I don't remember it being this bad. I just redid the set I wanted to in Rekordbox and it sounds like I wanted it to. AAAAAA

Although RipX is better suited for Precision~based Stem Editing, VirtualDJ 08's handling of stems does have some relevant benefit for Realtime Mixing at Live events; I would still say that RipX is mandatory for Studio Album work, but for Nightclubs and Broadcasting VDJ 08 benefits strongly on stems.

One thing that I will give VirtualDJ 08 credit for, even in spite of its ongoing handicaps over 07: Compared to how Hit 'n Mix's RipX handles Audio Stems and Vocal/Instrument Separation, Atomix gets close to the same quality without the brutal CPU usage, and can make better use of the Radeon VII.
My stance still stands: VirtualDJ 08 has been around since 20I4, yet the very problems that pushed me away from utilizing it full~time over Version 07 still remain even in the 2026 Edition of it (Build 9295); Version 07's DSP Phaser and DSP Reverb sound so much better that I refuse to ever use 08's.
