Taking advantage of a drop in temps this afternoon. 😊

An aerial of where we live in Cheticamp, "Island Light Retreat" reflecting in the open water of the harbour, down low with an iPhone and a look down of the thin ice in our harbour.

As soon as the ice starts to form, we start to see the seals show up. This Harbour Seal is enjoying some newly formed ice at one end of Cheticamp Harbour.

After returning from a nice Sunday morning drive into the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, we could see clouds moving in. A pic from home before we sit for lunch.

My favourite spot in the whole wide world are the hills of Margaree, along the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton. I will never forget the experience of wild stallions careening through those hills. It felt and sounded like an earthquake. #OneWithNature #VisitCapeBreton #SchoonerByTheBrook

Across Cheticamp Harbour, the clouds came back, winds picked up, then they parted for just a little light to come through.

Love turning iamges into new art. Some newer textures I hadn't used yet, & found this one striking. Bull moose was photographed recently in the #capebretonhighlandsnationalpark.

Some areas always manage to provide a little "eye candy" when the light and skies come together.

In the Cheticamp area? Be sure to check out Cheticamp Island, the lighthouse and cows on one end, and the cliffs on the other. Do take care though, the erosion is having an impact, but breathtaking nonetheless!
