“ what did you think about Vitology?”
“ invisible man riding with Ratfink got a bazooka full of pitchforks and a luggage full of dominoes on fire YEAH”

I saw a guy in a Mariners jersey that had "Vitology" on the back. Then he turned so I could see his partial profile and I was like "That maybe could actually be Mike McCready."

Dave A didn’t play on Ten. Vs. and Vitology only.

Pearl Jam's Vitology still makes me feel warm & fuzzy inside, esp "Corduroy" and "Nothingman" and "Spin the Black Circle" and "Tremor Christ" and "This is Not For You" and "Better Man" and fuck it the whole album

omg BUGS

Today in music: Alive by Pearl Jam from the 1991 album Ten. Released 35 years ago this week, it was the band’s debut album. #Music #Alive #PearlJam #ten #rock #rocknroll #hardrock #grunge #1990s #90s #1990smusic #90smusic #Vs #Vitology #nocode #Yield #Binaural #Riotact #backspacer #lightningbolt

The only reason people don’t talk about no code, yield, and binaural with ten, vs. and vitology is the Ticketmaster boycott.

Pearl Jam and REM got banished from the radio when they stuck their head up and were glad to do it.

We need to teach the children.

I could've sworn Vitology was out by then but I see we still have a few months. Some Hall of Famers on that list and many "how is that song 32 years old?" reactions.

First CD I owned? Paula Abdul - Forever Your Girl. Blame the cartoon music video.

First Album I Bought With My Own Money? Pearl Jam - Vitology on vinyl

First CD I bought with my own money? Veruca Salt - American Thighs

(5th grade birthday money well spent for the last two.)
44 years ago today, the first CD was produced.

What is the first CD you owned?

ya know, as a Pearl Jam fan who's been there since the first album, I feel like we should get some kind of special recognition for sticking with them after Vitology and that foxymophandle whatever bullshit they tacked on the end. It had some solid songs, but it has some pretentious nonsense too.

Just put on Vitology by Pearl Jam and my chest tightened like I was falling for just a moment because I haven't really listened to this album actively in many years and I had a really intense memory of hearing it for the first time as a teenager and being so excited. Weird.

I stopped with Pearl Jam after Vitology, but I had every Halo from Nine Inch Nails for quite a long time, sold them all for a girl, bought them all again, and then lost them over the years in moves and theft. Lol I'm in the top 1 percent of listeners of the name apparently.

The only words I recognize in this thread are Vitology and Badmotorfinger
