Sussex SLC joined VocalEyes for our second #DescribingHeritage workshop at De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill.

Volunteers explored artefacts through touch-first sessions, helping co-create more meaningful audio description for blind & partially sighted people.

We’ve spent all week emailing back and forth to a generic address used by many people with proof of disability & questions about how to pay & the touch tour, getting frustrated as there’s no telephone number. I finally called Vocaleyes who provide the audiodescription to find out the timings 😣

Bringing heritage to life through audio description 🎧

Our partnership with VocalEyes continues through the #DescribingHeritage project, with Yorkshire and Staffordshire SLC members helping museums shape more accessible experiences for blind and partially sighted visitors.
