I think everyone else is better than me, they got it figured out, they're right, I'm wrong etc....

At my core, I’m just scared, unconfident, unsure, self-doubting, vulnerable, and highly sensitive. #VulnerablyMe

I still do remember how this "blogging" thing works. Sometimes it takes a bit of a disaster to spark some creativity. ☺️ #VulnerablyMe
Thoughts From the Edge: August 10, 2026
Hey everyone! No, I haven't forgotten about my blog — quite the opposite, actually. While I may not have been having any creative ideas striking me for quite some time now, I have been spending a lot of energy and focus on the site itself. I still have been having unexplainable issues with my site, and the virtual machine it's been running on through AWS (Amazon Web Services).

The Weekly Wardrobe: June 8-19, 2026
Happy Sunday, everyone, and happy Father's Day to you fellow dads out there. I hope you're enjoying the day! 😊 It's been a couple of weeks since my last post, but I'm perfectly okay with that. I'm learning to embrace that I am not feeling obligated to post content on a regular basis. Sometimes the inspiration will strike, and sometimes it won't—that's perfectly okay.

The past week's outfits is couple with some pre-conference reflections for the next couple of days. It's scary out there! #VulnerablyMe
The Weekly Wardrobe: June 1-5, 2026
Hey everyone, and happy Monday (evening) to you! No, I hadn't forgotten to post my outfit recap. I was pretty laid up all day Sunday, with what I believe was a case of mild food poisoning. I spent the day in bed, and food was the furthest thing from my mind all day long. I'm happy to report that I'm feeling better — just in time for my conference this week, RVASec.

This past week's outfit recap includes thoughts about a movie quote that has been living rent-free in my mind all week long. I hope it has you thinking about it too. #VulnerablyMe
The Weekly Wardrobe: May 25-29, 2026
Happy Sunday, everyone! 😊 How is your weekend going so far? Mine has been nice and quiet for the most part, and the weather has been absolutely BEAUTIFUL this weekend. On the down side, one of the keys on my MacBook's keyboard has mostly come off, and I spent a good portion of Saturday at the Apple store trying to get it fixed.

The Weekly Wardrobe: May 18-22, 2026
Happy Sunday, everyone! For those of you here in the U.S., I hope you are having an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend so far! It's the unofficial beginning of summer, y'know. 😊 Of course here, it's been cold and rainy all weekend long, and I am more than happy to deal with it — I'm not ready for melting in the summer heat.

The Weekly Wardrobe: April 20-24, 2026
A happy Monday to all! 🥱☕️ I trust everyone had a nice weekend, and ready to go out and crush the week ahead, am I right? 😉 But first, coffee... I have finally scheduled a date to take my exam to try and re-obtain my Security+ certification: May 5. I've got a bit of studying to do, and I'm naturally very nervous about the exam, hoping that I won't fail it.

A simple outfit recap this week — severely lacking in the #VulnerablyMe headspace, and hoping creativity returns shortly.
The Weekly Wardrobe: April 13-17, 2026
Happy Sunday, one and all! It's a dreary and rainy day here, so I hope the weather where you are is better than mine! ☺️ What is it about rainy days that just seems to sap the creative energy right out of you? I can't even muster up the focus and concentration to write something out. I keep hoping that as I type, my mind will somehow magically conjure up…

The Weekly Wardrobe: April 6-10, 2026
Hey everyone, it's another Sunday! I hope the weekend is treating you well! ☺️ It's been about a week now that I've made the changes to my blog, and I have to say, I am very happy with them. Everything seems so much more cohesive and ties so well together with the image I had chosen months ago. I still can't believe that the inspiration was staring me in the face for so long, but only just revealed itself to me a mere week ago.

Apple Music is killing it, playing the songs my soul needed, very quickly breaking through the walls, freeing emotions and creativity.

Now I see daylight.

Talking a quick break to sit outside, reflect, and rediscover Taylor Swift — who has had enormous creative influence on me in the past.

Hoping it will reopen those doors.

The Weekly Wardrobe: March 30-April 3, 2026
Hey everyone, happy Sunday to you! For those of you who celebrate it, happy Easter to you as well. I hope you are having a great weekend so far. I don't have any special plans for the holiday, aside from my usual enjoying a lazy day in preparation for the week ahead. 😊 I can't believe that it's already been over two weeks since I attended my Security+ class — it still feels like it was merely a couple of days ago.

Losing one’s inspiration sometimes feels like it’s just as scary as losing one’s direction in life. I managed to lose both the last few weeks, but making an effort to regroup. #VulnerablyMe
Weekly Style Recap: March 9-13, 23-27, 2026
Hey all! Nope, I didn't forget about my blog. I haven't lost my mind just yet. 😉 I spent a week in northern Virginia attending a CompTIA Security+ certification course the week of March 16-20 — that’s why it’s not listed in the title. I was much too busy for school to take outfit pictures! 😅 The class was more or less the same as it was back when I attended it back in 2018 (wut???

Reaching out to the experts for suggestions: CISM or CISSP? I feel like CISM is more for me, as it focuses more on culture, governance, and such, but brief discussions with my course instructor has me not wanting to count out CISSP, as it may not be as technical as I think. I'm torn. #VulnerablyMe

Trying to write up a blog post for last week, but finding myself utterly unmotivated to do so. Not sure if it's wanting to focus on the course I'm in, or just a complete lack of creativity flowing through my veins. Maybe later this week, or the weekend...? #VulnerablyMe

Weekly Style Recap: March 2-6, 2026
It's another Sunday, and another week about to begin. It's also time for daylight savings, so I've lost an hour of sleep. I really do think it's high time to do away with changing the clocks twice a year. Is there still really any benefit to doing so? I'm completely on board with putting the ritual out of its misery, and I won't lose any sleep over it (pun intended 😜).

Outfit recap and a reflection this week — three little words I'm not afraid to say: "I don't know." That honesty matters more than we think in security culture. #VulnerablyMe
Weekly Style Recap: February 23-27, 2026
Happy Sunday! I can't believe that it's March already. Spring is just around the corner, and I am completely on board with that. I'm already happy that the sun is sticking around later and later, so I'm no longer walking to my car from work in the dark. Spring and autumn ('autumn' > 'fall') will always be my favorite seasons, because the temperatures tend to be the mildest, and I have the greatest versatility when it comes to my wardrobe.

Weekly Style Recap: February 16-20, 2026
Hello, and good Sunday to you all. How is your weekend going? Over here, it's a very dreary day. It's been raining all morning, and the weather forecast on my phone keeps telling me that there might be SNOW in there somewhere as well. Of course there would be — considering that I put all of our shovels away just yesterday, thinking that the worst was over.

Weekly Style Recap: February 9-13, 2026
Hey everyone, and happy Sunday to you! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend, and for those of you who celebrated it, I hope you also had a wondrous Valentine's Day as well. In my attempt to remain my authentic self — #VulnerablyMe, if you will — I will share that while the past week was busy at work with still fighting small security-related fires (grateful they are nothing blaze-worthy), I haven't been feeling very creative or inspired.

Since the early 2000s, when podcasts were born, I’ve always wanted to have one of my own. The desire hasn’t really faded over the years, but fears & challenges endure:

- how/where would I host it that was cheap/free
- what would I even talk about? I’m no expert on anything
